what are you doing for Halloween

this is my favorite time of year.. I love Halloween Sweepstakes.. carving pumpkins, picking out costumes..eating tons of candy. what are you kids going as? My oldest doesnt want to go this year. my oldest boy will be a ninja im sure.. has been for the last 5 years.. my youngest boy will be a transformer. no surprises there.

Do you go door to door.. go to the local mall, dance, etc..

We live in a very small community so we just go door to door.

I go down to my families home and help my mom pass out candy. I'm sure my girls will be going to some party even as grownups they like this time of year.

Beggar's night is usually a couple of nights before Halloween here. Oldest doesn't want to go and is going to have a freind over later that night for scary movies and pizza. We'll take youngest into town and let him go door-to-door. He wants to be a football player...again. This is year #3 for that which is good because we already have pants, jersey, equipment, helmet, etc.

The day of Halloween we carve pumpkins and I put candles in them when it gets dark. The boys love that and so do we. We always rent scary movies and watch those while the boys have their friends over for a sleepover. They make up our tent in the living room, get out the flashlights, and tell scary stories which results in hubby and I having a pint-sized bed partner for the night :laughing:

We will carve pumpkins a day or two before and the kids will probably go to the church (they attend church) for a fall hay ride. Then, on halloween, we will take them trick or treating to places we know or go to a carnival.

Caitlyn is still wanting to go trick or treating with Ashelyn so I guess we will go...we always have trunk or treat at the church during the week before also.

That night I am coming home and watching Ghost Hunters ( 7 hour live Halloween special :crazytongue:) I will have the Tivo running in case I fall asleep...
