warning! something grabbed my e-mail

Something grabbed my e-mail address and sent a gobbled message to everyone in my e-mail. Husband cleaned up the computer but no viruses, just cookies.
e-mail said something about Christmas and jibberish letters. anyone else have this problem. sent it out early am before I was even on the computer

Make sure you change your email password!

That's happened to me before unfortunately. It sent some crazy stuff to everyone in my contacts.

About a year ago it happened to me also. Someone got my email address and password. They used it to send the same email to everyone in my address book. As mannie123 said, change your password immediately.

could they see your accounts and personal info like credit cards

I had my facebook and email under the same password and they got to my email through my facebook. I had to change both pass words a couple of times

Yep - DH was just recently hit and that was required for him to access his account!
