WARNING! I suspect new release 15 of Firefox messes up Roboform

Just today I installed Firefox 15 and immediately began experiencing weird problems with filling sweep forms with
Roboform (PRO, Version 7.6.3). Even with RF enabled, it wouldn't fill half the forms it had done so for before, and
often it wouldn't display the drop-down list for Facebook sweeps which you normally choose your login for - I'd hover
the cursor and NOTHING would happen.

The point is, it was a frustrating mess, so I did a system restore and went back to last week's software setup with
Firefox 14, and the problem is now gone. Fortunately I rarely install new software as I want a trouble-free PC, but
I was forced to do about a 100MB update of my Norton antivirus updates that had been removed during the system
restore.

So if you're having problems like this today, and/or with LastPass, this may be the reason. I sure hope you aren't!

YW, Amy, but before you do make sure you create a system restore point so you don't have that problem with your antivirus updates!!

That's the rub - no discs, so I had to burn my own OEM, and it got corrupted and so I don't have Restore :cussing:

Lately, ADOBE updates have caused all kinds of problems, and I already know to expect 2 - 3 days of missmatch whenever i update ADOBE/JAVA/ROBO - it's like they don't fully BETA the progs b4 release :cussing:

It's not so much that they don't test, it's that there are way too many possible configurations on peoples' PCs that it's impossible to be fully sure there won't be negative impacts. Consider how many thousands of programs are out there.

If my conflict was with a little known prog, I'd get that, but with Adobe?

Speaking of robo, I have Version 7.8.2.5 - have you updated robo yet? If yes, do you still have a problem with FF?

I last updated FF on 7/18/12 - I updated to 14.0.1, but when i go to check which version I have:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/#desktop

it tells me I already am up to date?

I have paid robo - I got tired of having to stick with an old version of FF to make robo work :cussing:

Thanks - I have paid for it too, and still not sure how to update it, and I'm ALWAYS updating software - is there a procedure because I can't find any update option in the software ...

I meant I paid twice. I bought the "lifetime" version, then they created another version, that I had to pay for if I wanted robo to work in the latest FF version.

Thanks, Amy. I'll hang on for a while longer, I'm sick of paying more $$$ for another version of some software because some other software company changed THEIR software :cussing:

I fought it for months, then finally caved. NOT proud of it!!!! :cussing:

Especially since their "upgrade" was a bunch of bell & whistle bs I have NO use for!!! :nono:

I subscribed to sweepstakes advantage plus the other day. when I used sweep pop in internet explorer it kept coming up that IE had to shut down. I would reclick into it but it would work. Today the sweepops crashed my computer in IE. It not only erased my robo form identities but it also erased sweepops. Now it does not work. anyone know how to get it running again? I cannot use firefox cause my roboform does not work in that browser. any suggestions. I loved the convenience of sweepops. ethel [email protected]

I've just finished the roboform update and have lost the toolbar on chrome and firefox. I've tried the usual fix by opening roboform and clicking on show toolbar but cannot get roboform too show up anywhere so now it is useless. Any suggestions? When I first started my laptop there was a warning message stating that roboform was in some type of programers mode and was unstable so I disabled it. I've even done a system restore to 10 days prior but still no roboform toolbar.

Huh. Did you try updating a stable version?

I've reloaded it several times and now it works on firefox but is gone on Chrome. I guess I too will get the paid version come payday :( Thanks!

Plenty of bugs with the paid too.

I dread the updates - and with my short term memory loss, I keep forgetting to wait a few days JIC they patch them.

I once lost a bunch of new logins - I think because I didn't remember to sync? That really ticked me off!
