VOTE TODAY

Our household voted early! It was our son's first presidential election and we thought it would be great to go together.

Now we just need to get through today, and then we can stop worrying about the election and start worrying about my husband's likely lay-off.

I will be out voting after the gym.
My husband is on the local ballot.
He is running for Valley Center Planning Group.

Wish him luck.

I voted early too. When they did it the very first day. I walked in and walked out. Only had to wait like 5 mins. I feel bad for the people that have to vote today. It will probably be a long wait.

I went in and didn't have to wait to vote...ended up staying for over an hour talking to the poll operators though ~lol! Was there when Travis came in to cast his first vote in a Presidental election!

We didn't have school yesterday or today here ~ will be glad when kids and Jimmie are all back in normal patterns!

Hey y'all. I'm hanging in there and holding my breath. I am in Louisiana and will watch the results tonight.

McCain was very gracious last night! I have to say that I like the man's character!

I still don't think either is the right choice for our country :crazytongue:

I agree.. Its a shame he didn't run his campaign the way he did his speech last night. He was gracious and sincere. I think all the negativity really hurt him and that's too bad. I always liked McCain. It was his running mate I had a problem with. Hopefully he will again reach across the aisle and support the new president.

I completely agree with you 3mnkids. McCain's campaign should have been run by people more like him--he seems like a genuinely good person with high intelligence and grace. Palin? Not so sure.

My kids were hilarious in the polling place, and my vote was SO not a secret there. I kept having to tell them that a curtain is not soundproof, so if they continue say that we pushed the Obama button people might just ask us to shush! As it was, everyone was laughing when we pulled our lever.

Obama's speech was eloquent as usual, and I love how both he and McCain embraced all voters in their speeches and asked for support. He will need everyone's support in this extremely difficult time to be president.

I am still interested to see how NC, IN, and MO voted. I had lots of friends who went to IN from IL to get people out to vote.
