Vizzy Cincinnati Open Persistence

This was one that I received notification for in August 2023. The prize was a pickleball set and Vizzy merchandise, about $100 in value.

After I had not received the prize 12 weeks after the close of the sweeps, I contacted Molson Coors. They took a long time to respond, but eventually said that all prizes had been awarded and I would not be receiving a prize. I recognized this message as one other sweepers here on this site had received from Molson Coors so I asked why I was being passed over. They did not give me a response, other than questioning if my entry was deemed invalid. However, they did not provide a reason.

As everyone here knows, slogging through these daily sweeps is done with the hope that if a prize is won, it will be awarded. I had entered according to the rules, so I had no idea why they weren't awarding the prize.

I filed a complaint with the BBB and went back and forth with a representative there who was not very helpful. I filed a complaint with the FTC for fraud and the company was benefiting from marketing in the sweeps but not awarding the prize, and not notifying me of exactly why I was not awarded the prize.

At the same time, Molson customer service sent me a form letter each time I asked for an update, with no progress made on receiving the prize or finding out why I was ineligible.

Last week, I wrote a snail mail letter to the VP of marketing at Molson Coors discussing the problem. This morning, I received UPS notice that my prize was on its way.

Stay persistent, everyone! It's not right that some of the companies try to dodge awarding prizes for unclear reasons.

Wow that is awesome! Gives me hope. I was recently DQ from a grand prize win. The reason given was that I used duplicate emails to enter. This was BS because I entered via the mail in accordance to their AMOE requirements in the Official Rules. Mayhaps, I will try the snail mail method! Thanks for the idea.

I think asking them to supply proof is always a good idea, you can establish a paper trail in case you really want to pursue it to the bitter end!
