This was one that I received notification for in August 2023. The prize was a pickleball set and Vizzy merchandise, about $100 in value.
After I had not received the prize 12 weeks after the close of the sweeps, I contacted Molson Coors. They took a long time to respond, but eventually said that all prizes had been awarded and I would not be receiving a prize. I recognized this message as one other sweepers here on this site had received from Molson Coors so I asked why I was being passed over. They did not give me a response, other than questioning if my entry was deemed invalid. However, they did not provide a reason.
As everyone here knows, slogging through these daily sweeps is done with the hope that if a prize is won, it will be awarded. I had entered according to the rules, so I had no idea why they weren't awarding the prize.
I filed a complaint with the BBB and went back and forth with a representative there who was not very helpful. I filed a complaint with the FTC for fraud and the company was benefiting from marketing in the sweeps but not awarding the prize, and not notifying me of exactly why I was not awarded the prize.
At the same time, Molson customer service sent me a form letter each time I asked for an update, with no progress made on receiving the prize or finding out why I was ineligible.
Last week, I wrote a snail mail letter to the VP of marketing at Molson Coors discussing the problem. This morning, I received UPS notice that my prize was on its way.
Stay persistent, everyone! It's not right that some of the companies try to dodge awarding prizes for unclear reasons.
