Venting about Connecticut

Just venting for a second. We can't seem to get a break! This past summer we got slammed by Hurricane Sandy. We had an awful school shooting here in December. Now were buried under 30 inches of snow (some towns at 36). The state can't even keep up to help us, we've had women in town who had home births because the roads are impassible and ambulances couldn't get to them the past few days to get them to the hospital. Were digging out, injured and exhausted!!

So so wish my husbands company had a branch anywhere south!

I am in Milford Ct 38 inches of snow, Hurricane left us with water everywhere and no power, can't even talk about the event in Newtown. They say New Englanders are Hearty and stoic, I am trying but feeling a little like we have been stomped on. Trying to look at the bright side, we did keep power and I did go grocery shopping, so we were tucked in very snug. Okay so now I am putting on all the snow gear, and heading back out in the sleet that has started to come down here today, to try and shovel another section out. I am going slow, heard about a person I know having a massive heart attack the other night shoveling. Very sad he was 49,

Well we got plowed out yesterday! So I am off to the grocery store today sounds like more snow is coming, and I a wondering when these kids are evergoing to school this year!
