Using a public computer

Hi All, My laptop is useless after 18 months. Does anyone use a public computer (public library) and if so, can I use a form filler and which one? Thank you!
 
Sorry about your laptop Jane, that kinda bites. As far as the library goes, I've never used them for sweeping and some sites (I'm guessing now) may be blocked by the librarys' filtering system. As far as a form filler, I think it has to be installed on the machine you are using, so that's gonna make sweeping at the library a pain. Hopefully someone else has some experience sweeping at the library and will post better info than I have. Good luck and may your next win be a new laptop! Sam
 
Thx Sam, did win an IPad Mini since it broke but I don't think that will help with entering. We have an old desktop guess I'll have to struggle with that and hope for a computer or some visa gift cards! Jane
 
Hi Jane, Congrats on the ipad mini. I have a full ipad and no, you really cannot sweep much on them. Occasionally, I will enter a couple dailies that are MUST enters for me on it, but other than that, its not good. A lot of video and stuff wont be read by them, so most instant wins are out of the question. I use an ancient desktop just for sweeping. There are quirks, but it gets the job done and doesn't muck up my good stuff. You might want to keep the old desktop chugging along for just sweeps. There are some great used computer stores that you can get cheap used parts to upgrade with. Good luck :)
 
Thank you for giving me the info on the IPad. My daughter is letting me use her computer, I just need to get my sweeps done while she is in school. I needed to ask because she saved all her gift money to buy it herself.
I haven't enter sweeps for about a month, just Twitter, I hope it's not long before the wins start happening again!
