Urghhh Has anyone had luck with Twitter?

First off let me say I have never used Twitter prior to sweeping.

But I joined as you can get points for following/tweeting for blog giveaways.

Well after 3 days my first account got suspended (I was following around 100 people and tweeting many links).
Now my 2nd account got suspended in less than a few hours after 2 followers and 2 tweets.

Do you think its from posting giveaway links? I can hardly believe 2 of them is considered spam.

Do you do twitter giveaways? How do I avoid this?
 
:sunny: I use to enter Twitter contests, but never had any luck with them. Now I just use my Twitter account for tweets/retweets to get extra entries. I do know that some members do win from Twitter, but they have more patience than I do with it.
 
I use Twitter pretty much daily to tweet the blog giveaways. I have no idea why your account would be getting banned. Maybe you could try and contact them?
 
How often would you say you tweet/retweet for the contests?

I am blown away my last account was suspended in ONE HOUR. with 4 tweets.

Totally turns me on twitter :cussing:

Thanks Melanie good to know I emailed them but who knows when they'll answer :(
 
I don't do a TON of them... maybe 10-20 a day, just depending on how many blog sweeps I'm entering. Sometimes the tweets are one right after the other, sometimes there's a few minutes between them.

Hope you hear something soon from them. If it's spam, then over half the people I follow should be banned it seems, haha.

This account was suspended for sending multiple unsolicited messages using the @reply and/or mention feature. These features are intended to make communication between people on Twitter easier. Twitter monitors the use of these features to make sure they are used as intended and not for abuse. I only did the @ that was in the rafflecopter forms, and thanked people for following me, didn't see how that was so wrong =/
 
Yes, I use the buttons on the Rafflecopter form for my tweets, but I rarely, RARELY reply to anyone. When I find out someone's following me, I just read the subject on the email they send and delete it. Maybe thanking those people is what got you suspended.

I think I've replied to maybe 2 people, one of them is an actual friend of mine, haha.
 
I actually have won a lot through twitter! some CD's, one was signed, t-shirts, and other random stuff! I haven't won anything lately from it since I turned my account to private...not sure if it has to do with winning or not. but I feel like twitter sweeps are easier to win because there's not as many people entering.
I would still enter... it took me over 6 months i'd say before i started winning from twitter
