Unfortunately, there was a typo in the original prize notification email sent out to you. I apologize for the confusion; the value of your iTunes gift card prize should have read $20 instead of $200. You will receive a $20 iTunes gift card prize to the address you provided soon. Thank you for participating in the Tyson Wings and Football Sweepstakes

can they do that? at the very least it does not make tyson look good. i was counting on this for christmas...
 
Looks like it was listed incorrectly - the rules don't show $200 iTunes gift cards - they do have $20 iTunes gift cards:

instant win PRIZE (1,800): Eighteen hundred (1,800) "Instant Win Prize" winners will receive one (1) of the following prizes: seventy five (75) $50 NCAA.com gift cards Total Approximate Retail Value ("TARV"): US $3,750; seventy-five (75) $50 NFL.com gift cards TARV: US $3,750; four hundred (400) $20 iTunes gift cards TARV: US $8,000; five hundred (500) $10 Snapfish.com gift cards TARV:$5,000; and seven hundred and fifty (750) Tyson koozies TARV: $1,500. Rules don't specify when they award the prize (s) - they just say:

WINNERS' LIST: For the names of the winners (available after February 21, 2011), send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Tyson Foods Wings and Football Promotion Winners, 4895 W. 147th St. Hawthorne, CA 90250, for receipt no later than March 31, 2011.

Try to shrug it off - they did follow their rules.

As for "counting on this for christmas" don't let this bum you out - go try to win a bigger/better prize & remember this is supposed to be a fun hobby :sunny:
 
:wave: Unfortunately, this is one of the pitfalls when dealing with online sweeps. No prize is a guarantee until you have received it. As Amy stated just move on and try to win something better. Best of luck to you!
