Great news! If you get the chance, upgrade to Jet Blue Mint...

Thank you so much for the tip. I am going to do exactly that.....I want to purchase a 10 day cruise from California to Hawaii so we can see all the islands...at a major discount of course....then fly to California port and back for free. What a blessing this is for me and my husband of 40 years. We have a year to take the trip so we are going to go for our anniversary. Wins to all, Ethel from PA

Ethel, the Pacific is a rough ocean to cruise.

I would fly to CA on Jet Blue mint from JFK to LAX, then take a flight from LAX to HNL (Honolulu). Cruise around the islands from Hawaii.

Five hours on Hawaiian airlines, from CA to Hawaii is much easier. (or Southwest, AlaskaAir)

You could even do JFK to SFO - spend one night or two in San Francisco then to Hawaii...or Seattle...look at all mint routes (San Diego!)...then to Hawaii.

I have read many experiences of people regretting being on the Pacific for multiple days in bad weather cruising to Hawaii.

PM me if you have any questions.

Congrats on the most excellent win! I would head to Hawaii too! :)

I hope your win turns out better than mine did (mine was Orbitz, not Jet Blue). To get from BWI to MCO, which is about a two-hour flight direct) the airline said that since I had won the tickets, I was limited as to my flight selections. The shortest they could give me involved layovers in two airports and total travel time of twelve hours. The worst was the one that had me visiting five different airports with a total of twenty-four hours travel time. They said that tickets that are won aren't eligible for direct flights. Never used the tickets.
