Twitter sweepstakes

Has anybody won a Twitter sweepstakes and couldn't get a response about the prize? Before Christmas McDonald's tweeted that I was among several prize winners of an NFL jersey. They asked us to follow and DM. I guess that means direct message.

I did so immediately and got no response, so I sent another message and another. No response. I finally wrote to the McD's Twitter team directly. So far no response. I sent an email to the corporate. So far no response.

This reflects very poorly on McDonald's in general.

Those idiots didn't respond to 3 messages and two retweets, then they told me I had to respond within 24 hours. Oh, really? I sent them 2 messages within 24 hours that they didn't respond to. Once they finally responded I was offered a bunch of nuggets.

No thanks, I want the $99 prize I was supposed to get.

I had that happen with Wheel of Fortune twitter contest. They sent me a message on 10/31 that I won and I sent them email and Dm within 2 hrs, no reply. Tried contacting them 5 more times, no response. So i chalked that one up as no go

I'm spamming their wall with my complaint to all their other "winners" as a test to see if it helps. If they'd rather send me a gift card instead of the prize I won that would be fine. Let's see if it works.

They're doing a really good job of ignoring me and not delivering the prize. I'll never forget this and will always associate this incident with McDonald's.

I think there should be a forum or forum sticky someplace that out sponsors that don't deliver on prize wins. I've been griping at FB that the bra I supposedly won from the Olga instant win was never delivered. I have an email to prove this, but when emailing them it bounced back to me. After contacting customer support I got no answer. The worst of all was the sweepstakes that was supposed to be a $1,350 cash win.

I think this problem is getting worse since FB and twitter are so popular. They put a lot of resources into promoting and not enough into delivery.

This wasn't on twitter, but I had a problem with 2 companies (posted here http://www.sweepsadvantage.com/foru...no-prize-anyone-else-have-problem-advice.html) I have yet to hear from one company and the other says that my prize is on the way. It is frustrating, but keep calm, and keep in contact. Do you still have the original winning message? Make sure to keep it and maybe send it to someone higher up in the company with a polite but firm message. That worked for me on one, still waiting on the other. Good luck!
