hi. does anyone know the answer to this question: What happens if you win a trip that is designed for 4 people and only 2 of you can attend the trip? do the sponsors make you forfeit the trip, do they discount the ARV, and let you go anyways? any experiences with this?
thanks!

 Probably depends on the sponsor, but can't imagine them telling you that you have to take someone with you. The other exception to this would be if the trip is designed for children and they require that an adult travel with them and that 2 of the people traveling are minor children. Have won a few trips for 4 but only took 2 on one and 3 on the other. If it is a requirement I think it would be spelled out in the official rules.

ok, that's nice to know, pmeek, I will check the rules carefully regarding the required number of people traveling. I can understand if the Disney trip was designed for 2 children to attend with their family and it is a requirement for the minors to attend the trip.
I am looking at a sweeps for 6 (!) to Disney World, i would love to win, but it's just me and my hubby at this point in our lives. The rules say something about forfeiting the trip if the winner doesn't take it as planned. I realize it's kind of a moral issue as well, if the sweeps was really designed for a family with children. I most likely will skip that one.

:headbang: Actually, one of the trips that I won that was for 4 was a Disney World trip. My husband and I went along with 1 of our friends. The sponsor (Hanes) didn't have a problem with it. Our friend did pay for his own room. The ARV of the trip was adjusted accordingly. The best part was that since there were only 3 instead of 4 going that they paid for us to leave out of our little airport here instead of making drive to a major airport several hours away. Hope you win that trip!
