Too Late

Got an email stating I had won 2 tickets to a Detroit lions game but since I did not respond within 24 hours I was disqualified. I never received the first email.
 
Even if you reply "too late" (which I have done on two different prizes), as long as you write a long chatty email giving life history and believable (and true) explainations (better than I didn't receive the email or I forgot to check/read my email) then they always show mercy/grace and give you the prize anyway (and it usually takes them days to go back and draw more names and contact the replacement winner(s).
 
Sorry to hear of your loss. Have you tried the dramaactress' suggestion. It might work, no harm in trying. Let us know how it turns out.
 
I'm sorry to hear that. I would reply and let them know you didn't get the first e-mail. That happened to my sister and she sent them an e-mail and they sent her, her prize.
 
Thanks for the suggestions. I did reply immediately letting them know I did not receive the email. Haven't heard back but maybe they will respond tommorrow.
 
The part I find really odd is that they would email you to tell you that you are disqualified since you didn't respond. If you had received the email then you would already know that you didn't reply soon enough. I would also contact them, especially for Lions tickets. I'm a Michigan girl!
 
I actually did get one of those TO LATE NOTICE TO CLAIM PRIZE notices awhile back. I wasn't able to get to my computer for several days due to an emergency in my family. I'd won a Canadian Goose Down Flash Jacket and I wrote the lady and apologized for not answering the first notice. She email me back and said they had drawn another name. I then emailed her back and told her that I expected them to do that as I would have done the same thing for my entrants if I'd have been in charge of the sweeps..............Later I got another notice from her that the second drawn name (a man) did not answer and if I wanted the jacket it was mine........Oh my did I ever!!! Value $280
Gave it to my companion for this Christmas. He tried it out these last couple of days as the temps
are very very cool for southern Missouri.........its a winner and so was I!!!........manswife
