Time Period entry frequency

This has probably been addressed a gazillion times but here goes. If a sweeps says 1 entry per day / per email address and it doesn't give any further explanation, does this mean 1 entry in a 24 hour period or 1 entry per calendar day? Recently I have tried to enter some 1 time per calendar day and they tell me I have already entered. (Had not actually been 24 hours) Thank you.

Most of them seem to be once per calendar day. Some of them start over at weird times---camel sweepstakes I think is 11am eastern time. If I get a message that I already entered I just figure it must be 24 hr and treat it like that.

Editors *MUST* list promos by what the rules state the entry frequency is, and *most* 24hr entry will say so, but if a promo runs on any clock other than midnite to midnite EST, it will *act* like a 24hr.

Example :

The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Central Time on January 1, 2014 and ends at 11:59 a.m. CT on March 31, 2014
Limit (1) Standard Entry per person/email address/household/mobile phone number per day, regardless of entry method used.

So, any promo on other than midnite to midnite EST, that states daily entry in the rules, will be listed as a daily {or Facebook/Twitter if they use those platforms} and it's on us sweepers to check the rules.

This is where PLUS is perfect - especially since while all members can see the Facebook/Twitter listings, only PLUS members can ^save^ them to the Facebook/Twitter category, or one we create ourselves.

Bottom line - check the rules for keywords/key phrases, like GAME PERIOD, Contest Period or A “day” is defined

Editors *must* list by RULES

Editors *must* list promos by the entry frequency in the rules. If rules say "daily" and the promo acts like a 24hr entry, be aware, not all sweeps are on EST, nor do they all end at 11:59 pm, so please check the listing/rules/comments for entry/end times.
