Thread: YOU WON You are a WINNER - New to SA? PLEASE READ
http://www.sweepsadvantage.com/foru...57-you-won-you-winner-new-sa-please-read.html

If you are new to this site & new to sweeping, please read this thread.

3/3/16; Reminder - newsletters that go out to many many people will NOT have a winning message for YOU unless they ID you specifically by name. Today, the SA newsletter gave a few of the many recipients the impression that THEY had won when it was highlighting that another member had won.

Winner threads posted in the Sweepstakes Winners Circle with various thread titles {ie; YOU WON and/or You are a WINNER } are posted by the people who DID win.

Some newbies are mistaking winner threads in the Sweepstakes Winners Circle with thread titles of YOU WON and/or You are a WINNER as a personal message to them that they won, and they then proceed to post their personal info. These threads are NOT directed at you, but are the OP {Original Poster} posting what THEY won.

REMINDER - you must ENTER to WIN - for Instant Wins, they tell you right away, for regular Sweepstakes/Contests, the Sponsor/JA will either email, call, or require you to check their page to see if you won - each promotion will tell you in their RULES how/when they contact winners.

NOT WINNING ANYTHING? Tips on WHY:

Use SA correctly. You need to click the links and fill out the entry forms to enter. SweepsCheck is a great tool, but checking it off does not enter you in the sweepstakes.

As to notification? It could be email, by phone, or mailed to you - same as for snail, but you need to keep an eye on your email too

weird winning email notifications to look for

I agree with arrtup3;

Okay --- It looks to me like there are two reasons why people are confused.

First of all, look at the email that you are all quoting. It is the daily Sweepstakes Advantage newsletter, which most of us are familiar with and are used to the format - it mentions interesting wins, and it mentions some new sweeps. The daily newsletter from Sweepstakes Advantage usually informs us about a big winner, or someone who has won something interesting, or had a bunch of recent wins. In this case, it is telling us about plshearin's win.

Second, unfortunately, there is a mistake, as some of you have noticed. It should say "she won," i.e. plshearin - not "you won."

But, think about it. The winner of the Man Cave or any sweeps does not get notified of their win via the Sweepstakes Advantage newsletter. The winner could have been notified by many other means (email, USPO, certified letter with affidavit, phone, text, etc.), but not by the SA newsletter. No matter how the winner was notified, the winning message came either from the sweeps sponsor or fulfillment agency.

SA lists the sweeps. That is all.

1000 pre-paid card

I received the same email also and think it's misleading. Says plshearin won the Coors Light Caveman giveaway and then says you won (1)one pre-paid card, See Below....???

Well are they referring that she won a pre-paid card or did I win??? Only thing I see below is a place to click on that says, "Report Your Prize Win Here". Click on that and it just takes you a blank forum entry page for putting a message or question in.

Think a they need to send everybody that has received the email a return email explaining the mistake.

Received an email stating plshearin won the Coors Light Caveman giveaway, then says you(me)won (1)one $1,000 pre-paid card. See below.... See what below? The only thing I seen was, "Report Your Prize Win Here" and lead me to this page(forum).

Someone has some explaining to to do and members need a email explaining if there was a mistake or not.

Trying to find someone to contact on the matter, but can't find any where on the webpage to contact or send a message to yet.

*People often copy and paste their winning message. This drives me crazy! It confuses newbies and often non-newbies too.

By the way, big congrats to plshearin. (Got interrupted by an important call while typing this so I returned to finish and fix.)

Very bottom on the Home Page - CONTACT US link - is where you can submit a ticket. I already did so.

It's easy to see, if you go to the thread, that pishearin C&P'ed from their winning email in their thread & it was highlighted in the newsletter - context is everything!;

Grand Prize Win!!
http://www.sweepsadvantage.com/forum/sweepstakes-winners-circle/79632-grand-prize-win.html

Congratulations, you have been selected as a potential winner in the Coors Light Football Man Cave Experience Sweepstakes. You have won one (1) $1,000 pre-paid card. The Grand Prize has an approximate retail value of $1,000.

Already filled out, notarized and mailed. I love Sweepstakes Advantage

Agree to disagree. Myself, I enter many giveaways, contest, etc.... Receiving many emails daily is normal from places I've entered these giveaways and contest. In the short time I spend on per email, how should I know or remember what $1,000 pre-paid card giveaway I entered in the past? Maybe SA was giving away pre-paid cards themselves for a giveaway to people who join up or are members already.

SA Site Administrators should really email all members on their part for the reactions to the email.
