but, it sounds like fall today here on Kentucky Island! I don't know what it is, but it really does. It might be where we lost so many leaves during the wind storm the other day (Ike's winds up to 75 mph gusts) and maybe, just maybe it is because I know that it is cooler outside, but it is beginning to sound like fall. This is something that I never have really noticed until the leaves fall and you start to rake...

At least it doesn't smell like fall yet...and my allergies are glad of it!!

You know it's the same thing here. We got that cool front after Ike and I have had windows open here for 2 days now. I said that was a blessing because so many people still don't have power. I love it.

it has felt like fall here for a couple of weeks. Been chilly even. The high yesterday was around 65. felt great. Its nice and cool right now too. Got my windows open. I love this time of year. Hate the raking of the leaves though.

I was never bothered by allergies till moving up here. :scratch: They have been bad since the beginning of summer. Had a sneezing fit just this morning.. Trying to break my record of 11 sneezes in a row. :laughing:

It's normally 90 degrees and very humid here this time of year so this is just so nice.

Caitlyn can put you to shame ~ I have never heard another human sneeze so many times in a row. I would almost swear she does it on purpose ~lol!! Scares the cat to death!!

Gonna freeze my butt off tonight at the football game...I hate when I get cold. Gonna drag my big ol' blanket with me!

my husband will say it twice and then he says thats it. I like to sneeze.. I hate hiccups though. :laughing:

It's really strange but, the weather has been much cooler here in MS as well. They said on the news that fall came early.

:wave: Fall has come early here in Arkansas as well. After IKE roared through on Saturday night, the last few days have been filled with sunshine, low humidity, crisp cool air...with daytime temps in the 70s and nightly temps in the low 50s. Very nice, indeed. For the next seven days, the daytime highs are not supposed to be over 85.

Mid-August we had an unusual rainy spell, with cool temps and lots of rain...very unusual for summer in Arkansas...with normal daytime highs in the upper 90s or 100's. Then, along came GUSTOV...which brought us even more rain and cool temps. GUSTOV hung around a couple of days, with a steady rain. IKE roared through and did not drop nearly as much rain as GUSTOV...but the winds did a number on us...lots of folk without power (but not me :crazytongue: ).

Now, with this cold front having passed, Fall is here...the summer heat has broken for good. Yippee...!

You know what is scary about all of this? It means it's nearing time for tornado season again and this past year was a rough season.

I do love this weather though, I've been trying to spend more time outside and enjoying the sunshine. It is also suppose to be under 85 for the next few days.
