Think These Sweeps Are Real?

Hi-

I noticed on today's (4/3/13) DAILY SWEEPS page, there is a whole list of daily sweeps to win $25 Visa Gift Card (or $25 Amazon).

All of these sweeps pages seem to be from the same person or same company. The pages just have different names, web addresses and graphics/focus.
For example: FastCashSweepstakes.com
GreenDynastys.com
NumismaticSweepstakes.com
The Swampstakes

I don't remember how many there are, but quite a few, perhaps 10-15 different ones.

I just wondered if anyone on SA has ever won one of these or what people think about them. It's kind of strange, because obviously they're from the same person/company and there is no real information on the webpages. (Makes me wonder then, so what are the websites for?)

Just wondering what other SA members think about these---I can't decide whether to do them daily or if they are a waste of time.

What do you think?

Happy Sweeping,
Ekdanta

I posted awhile back asking if anyone has ever won one of these. haven't seen any winning posts. i stopped entering them awhile back because my robo form wouldn't fill it in. this time around my robo form fills out the form, but, i'm not holding my breath on winning, i've yet to see a winner post a win from these $25 visa gift card sweeps.

personally I don't enter anything that I have not heard of before ...the prize just doesn't seem worth the risk to me

I'm thinking that they are creative sweeps, one prize for all of them, that's why i don't enter

More like advertisements, which alot of so called sweeps appear to be, some you even have to buy something. Thats wrong. Or like PCH big prizes, then they change the payout date & change the sweepstakes number. CRAZY!

It's against the law for sponsors to *require* a purchase of a good or service. *most* sponsors will have a no purchase venue {online, text, and/or by mail} to comply with that law.

HOWEVER, there IS a wiggle rule - some don't require an actual purchase, just that you *already* use their service - like: "...DISH Network customers in good standing for the duration of the entry period" so it's like any demographic restriction, like age.

As to changing dates and/or prizes, most use boilerplate rules verbiage that gives them an out to pretty much change every aspect if certain conditions are met. They can even run a promo for a long time and cancel it at the end!

Or some are written so that unless the stars line up in exact order {ie; an entrant enters the correct answer/number/whatever at the *EXACT* predetermined moment} they don't have to award anything!

Everything in life is a trade off so I keep in mind that when a sponsor chooses to use their advertising money on a promotion {sweepstakes, contest, etc.} that they are looking for new customers and/or trying to keep the ones they have.

We are free to decide what our comfort level is on every sweeps we enter, so it's on ^us^ to check out their privacy policy/watch for check boxes on how they use our info & we need to decide when they go above our comfort level.
