Does anyone else besides me get annoyed when a commercial comes on your favorite show? And when you change the channel to watch something else, a commerical is playing as well? It's like the networks all got together and decided to show commercials at roughly the same time as every other network. :cussing: So, you sit with the remote control in your hands and flip through the channels, only to see commercials playing at the same time. Sort of defeats the purpose of channel surfing. I, for one, really hate "commercial surfing".....
 
OMG...yes!!!! They have to do it on purpose!! That is why I am addicted to my tivo!! No commericals ~ I just fast-forward through them!!!
 
I can't stand watching Desparate Housewives if I don't tape it first and skip through the commercials. They have way too many of them. I swear the one hour show only lasts 20 minutes without all the commercials.
 
Of course they do!! We don't really watch much tv though! We do something really unheard of and peculiar.....we sit there and talk to each other every night!! :crazytongue:
 
Mom just got her first DVR and is now in commercial free heaven. :sunny: She says at her age she does not have time to watch commercials. She does think that read headed guy on Life is cute though, not too old for that! :laughing:

Me too! I love TiVo. I didn't think we'd use it, but on average it takes 10 minutes off every 30 minutes of a show. Its really funny though, people are always saying "did you see that commercial..." - and we're like "commercials - HA!" :laughing:

:cheers: OMG! Our husbands must be related! It drives me crazy and he wonders why I don't like to watch tv with him! We have DVR and he still does it!

I don't even watch TV anymore. Why bother. By the time I am done with a night of watching TV with him, I come up with JR Ewing being shot by the Red Ryder B B Gun kid. He is then rushed to County General Hospital where he is treated by a young George Clooney and is later being cut open in an autopsy at Las Vegas CSI after which he is brought back to life by this weird little guy who touches him to find out who shot him. OYE! :laughing:

My DVR saves me - but not when Bob is watching!!! He doesn't do prime time though - Discovery channels/science/etc. so at least the shows are interesting!!! :laughing:

I read - too darn fast!!! :nono:

I just finished 16 books by LAURELL K. HAMILTON that I started reading when we went to laughlin - just over 4 books a month I think? :scratch:

I DVR shows, and only watch them when my eyes jump too bad to stay on the comp - in fact, I need to watch or delete some soon since it's almost full!!! :laughing:
