If you're talking about prizes you win, all prizes are supposed to be reported whether above or below $600. The IRS only requires prizes over $600 have a 1099 submitted although a sponsor can submit one on a lower-cost prize. As far as how much the taxes will be depends on your total income for the year. Prizes get added in as "other income" as a part of your total income.
