Sweepstakes Newbie Who Needs Help! Not Sure if This Is a Scam.

Got an email stating that I am the potential winner of the Saks 2023 “April Email” Sweepstakes. I need to fill out an affidavit of eligibility as well as submit a w-9 form. My problem is this, I'm 90% sure that I did not enter for the month of April! I did enter a giveaway from this company, but I entered for May. I even went to look through my history and the first record of me visiting the site was not until May 6th. I'm very hesitant to send anything over for these reasons. Not sure what to do!

It could just be that the "April Email" verbiage was from a form email shell they forgot to change?

Looks legitimate to me. It's not likely a scammer would have any way to know that you had entered the Saks giveaway, or would have an affidavit for you, or go to the trouble of wording it from the stance of a sweepstakes administrator. So Congrats!! Looks like you did win.
