Sweeper disquailified from winning $100,000 from Gold Peak Tea!

It's important to read and follow the rules. More and more sponsors are including rules about vote exchanging/forums/vote sites and such that will disqualify entrants.

I agree you need to follow the rules! These companies are giving out thousands of dollars of prizes just to make their customers happy and get some good publicity. And this guy feels entitled because why??? I read the article and he even said that he read the rules. Not good. He didn't deserve to win. There are a lot of contests I enter and I have never asked anyone for a vote. (St Ives, Too Faced, etc). I hope this doesn't ruin it for the rest of us honest sweepers out there. I know I appreciate every contest these companies run. I always send a thank you.

I really don't understand. If he asked others for votes and got them, then why shouldn't he win? I thought that was how the voting sweeps works? I,myself, don't enter them because I don't want to bother everybody. But, maybe I can understand if his number of votes WAY superceeded anyone else's...then they might consider it "cheating".I think it's all dependent on the Sponsor and how they interpret all entries.
