stupid question but just wanted to ask!

So I am a newbie and can probably find the answer on here if I looked hard enough!! Anyways, it sounds like for alot of you, you didn't even realize you even won until the mailman showed up at your door?!?!?! Does that ring true with the instants as well?? I mean, alot of the time we all enter the instants but don't win the instant prize and get the entry into the main sweepstakes. I would love to come home and see a nice gift from Fedex on my porch LOL.

For most sweepstakes, they do notify you if you won; but there are some that just show up unannouced, some even with no mention of who it's from.
 
I've had several surprise wins show up & I've only been sweeping about six months. If you're consistent in entering & very patient :whistle: you'll be pleasantly surprised too!

It's rare, but it does happen. Not to me though - or if it did, I don't remember. :scratch:

I've won an IW and didn't know it until I got a confirmation email - that's why I use the "click here if you can't see the game" button if they have one, since it's all predetermined. :)

My surprise wins that just show up have been from regular sweeps - and as LDS noted, you don't always get a letter/return address to help you figure out who sent it!!! :laughing:

And remember - even if you don't win an IW while it's running, if they state a 2nd chance in the rules, you could win from that - that's how I won my laptop!!! :headbang:


Sweeping is a hobby that is all about timing. Especially for those elusive instants! IF you enter at the exact right moment, you will win. If not? Sad to say you won't. But I assure you - it's nothing personal, and those who win a lot don't have any "secrets" - they are just consistent, persistent, and patient.

The sweepers credo? Enter and forget it. Always be happy for those that win - even when they win "your" prize :laughing: - and be positive you will win.

Reminding myself of the sweepers credo is how I keep my positive attitude, and my sanity.

I really believe that if you go into it thinking you can't win, well, you'll MAKE yourself right so often you'll start believing it!!! I truly do believe you have to have a positive attitude - don't get hung up on what others are doing - just focus on entering, then move on to something else - like posting so we can get to know you!!!

Hang in there - and enter, enter, enter - you'll be posting a win before you know it!!! And remember - every day brings new opportunities to win!!!
 
yep - things just show up! As far as instant wins....I won my car that way (the grand prize)....the notification came as a regular email from eprize that said "Congratulations, you're a winner in the....."...I didn't remember winning that instant win, so when I opened the email and it said I was the winner of a car (kind of nonchalantly!!). I couldn't believe it.

so even after an instant win ends, if you get an email about it, CHECK IT!!
