Good Morning Everyone

I'm curious. I'd love to know what your strategies are for entering contests. Do you block off specific times of day to enter? Do you utilize more than just SA to get your information? I see anywhere between 130 and 170 new contests posted daily, but some of you indicate that you spend 3 hours a day entering. Why does it take so long? Are there contests I'm missing?

Currently, I save all daily contests in my brower's favorites folders according to the month in which they expire. Preceding each link name, I type the day it expires. I go through each folder every day, and if they expire for that day, I enter and delete them. Later in the day, I'll go back to the new lists and go through them, saving the dailies in the folders, and entering the one-timers. I don't find this takes more than an hour or so.

I do around 400-500 sweeps a day. Then I go thru the new. It takes me a couple of hours or so.. It may take others longer because they have more sweeps, dial-up, dont sit and get them all done at once. I use robo pro and save my dailys, weekly, monthlys to that. The way you do it sounds good too. how many sweeps are you doing a day?

There are so many variables ( as 3mnkids1 pointed out ) that we really can't compare how we enter, when we enter, or our success rate because we all don't enter the exact same sweeps - we can just say what works for us.

I think when people say they spend a certain amount of time entering they mean if they ONLY entered - once they've gotten "grooved" in.

In a pinch, I can enter in 30 minutes or less - but that's when I only do my IW's. If I enter everything, it can take from 2 - 3 hours. But since I rarely JUST enter, I can conceivably be here at SA and entering my sweeps all day!!! :crazytongue:

Sweeping is a hobby that is all about timing. Especially for those elusive instants! IF you enter at the exact right moment, you will win. If not? Sad to say you won't. But I assure you - it's nothing personal, and those who win a lot don't have any "secrets" - they are just consistent, persistent, and patient.

The sweepers credo? Enter and forget it. Always be happy for those that win - even when they win "your" prize :laughing: - and be positive you will win.

Reminding myself of the sweepers credo is how I keep my positive attitude, and my sanity.

I really believe that if you go into it thinking you can't win, well, you'll MAKE yourself right so often you'll start believing it!!! I truly do believe you have to have a positive attitude - don't get hung up on what others are doing - just focus on entering, then move on to something else - like posting so we can get to know you!!! :sunny:


Hang in there - and enter, enter, enter - you'll be posting a win before you know it!!! And remember - every day brings new opportunities to win!!! :headbang:
 
Oh I've already won a trip. I was just curious about others' strategies. I do enter it and forget it, in fact when they called about my win, I remembered seeing the page on the screen and who it was for (photographic memory to some extent) but I didn't know what the prize was. I do about 100-150 dailies and then the new ones for that day, so not too many. But, I admit I don't enter every one of them, not the DVD or CD ones, usually not the instant win ones either, unless the prize is something I want. Do you guys use ONLY SA, or do you have multiple sites, with different contests on them? I figure if SA finds them, the other ones will too. Thoughts?
