Still Waiting for Prize From Thirfty and Frugal Living Blog

Has anyone else had trouble getting their prize from the Thirfty and Frugal Living Blog? I won something back in January, but I still have not received it. When I emailed the blog owner she said that the sponsor had sent it, but they will send it again. That was in the beginning of April. Still no prize. I just wrote the blog owner another email asking for tracking. She has been nice about it, but I'm having little faith in the blog. I've won stuff from other blogs and for the most part got the prize within the month.

My prize was supposed to be a Hard Rock USB Keychain. Two other people won as well (I think a tshirt and a regular keychain). Since I won, I've received other things from Hard Rock, but not the USB. A few months ago I received an eco tote bag from Tampa Hard Rock. Recently, I won a hard rock collector pin which came in an envelope with Mohegan Sun stuff. Neither came with any indication of who it was from and I rarely enter contests that has "random stuff" as a prize.

Should I give up on ever getting the USB or do you think that the weird Hard Rock stuff I've received was from this blog's sponsor?

Update: Today I emailed the blog owner again about not getting the prize. I didn't tell her before about getting the other prizes from Hardrock because I didn't think that they came from her sponsor. Since she didn't respond to my last email (I wrote it two weeks ago), I mentioned these prizes and said that I didn't think that these were from her this time. She wrote back that these were from her sponsor and that I should have told her sooner! How was I suposed to know? Hardrock and Mohegan Sun stuff don't really go together in my mind. I enter multiple contests daily and thought they were from some place else. She wished that I told her after getting the first incorrect prize!?! Would anyone here have put two and three together after getting that first item? Now she seems put out having to email the sponsor again to "see what can be done". It's not my fault that they said the incorrect prize twice with no letter or anything. Thanks for letting me vent.

Update: I descided to write a negative comment to her facebook wall saying that I never received the correct prize, the prizes I did get where of a lesser value, and that both she and the sponsor were unprofessional. She finally responded! However, now I am being called a "liar" (I don't know why) plus I "spam and post negative comments". Also, after the comment the sponsor is saying that these items were substitutions for the prize that was no longer available. BS. Anyway, do not enter giveaways through the Thirfy and Frugal Blog or patronize the Tampa Hard Rock Cafe. She even admitted in her email that other people have not received their prizes. "Winning a prize is a great thing, not an entitlement and I can not control what happens since I rely on sponsors." a.k.a I don't send the prizes people win. I feel good now having said my peace and I'm not surprised they are won't be sending my prize because they weren't going to do that anyway whether I posted on her wall or not.

I know these things can get annoying, but...for the most part, there are some really good companies out there that give you what they say they will and do it pretty fast. I have not won a blog contest yet, but I imagine it is just this one and we shouldn't hold it against all blog contests. Just my two cents! GL in the future!

I've entered several blog contests and received prizes without any trouble, but this blog owner is just really ticking me of if you know what I mean. First, she practically yells at me for not telling her about the other prizes when there was no way of me knowing. Then she tells me that she will look into it, but ignores my emails. The only times she responded after the sponsor sent me the second weird package was to do something drastic. Now I'm being told that I'm a spammer? I what...sent her two polite follow up email that she didn't respond to? Oh, and I'm a liar? Why?...probably because I told her and her sponsor that they were unprofessional. Not responding to email follow ups IS unprofessional. Slopy prizes from a sponsor with no letter or contact to the host IS unprofessional. Now they are covering up their mistake by lying and saying that the things I got "where of equal value". I'm not surprised that she "banned" me. I did what I had to do in order to get a response. I did promise to tell everyone I can about my negative experience with both her and her sponsor. Just for the record, when I went on twitter to tell my followers about it interestingly enough her Twitter account has been suspended. Who's the spammer?
