So How Much Did You Win in 2016?

Curious as to what everyone won in total in 2016? How many sweeps do you usually enter daily and how much time do you usually spend entering daily?

A magnet, $35 worth of gift cards/codes, cheese and some secondary SYW points prizes that all expired before I would use them. That's what I remember off the top of my head. Not the best year for my sweeping. Bring on 2017!

Usually enter 50-100 daily sweeps or so. Takes 1-1.5 hours a day. I do sweeps each day but Saturday now.

I had a pretty good year actually, won over 15 different prizes, mostly small but some nice ones too. Here is list:
$25 Kroger/City Market GC
$100 Walmart GC
Team Thrivent Racing Jersey ARV 100
Xbox games from M&Ms ARV 60
$100 GC American Airlines
Wireless Headphones and signed Soccer Jersey ARV 200
$20 Subway GC
Fandango movie certificate
$25 Regal cinema GC
and drumroll the 2 big ones, lol
2 VIP Concert tickets and Meet & Greet with Olivia Newton John (see attached picture)
$1000 Visa from Midwest Living (yet to receive)

And I enter about 100 sweeps a day, try to enter everyday but probably average 5x a week, does take 1-2 hours a day. Still looking for that big trip/cash win. :D

Nice going! I won a gift card about that size from Parents' Magazine a ways back... and they ended up telling me a bit later that they were out of gift cards and that they'd just cut me a check instead. :D Maybe you'll eventually get even lucky(er) with it. haha

$1000 check would be just fine with me! LOL My problem is my lack of patience. Got the email on Nov. 1st and I want my $1000 now. LOL

It's been a very bad year for me. I won a few Kmart points that expired before I got enough together to use them. A $25 circle k card which would have been nice if I had ever seen a circle K. And my big win was concert tickets that they notified me the night before, to a concert 7 hours away. I spend about 2-3 hours a day, but I moved so I missed a couple months in the middle of the summer. I'm hoping for a better year this year!

goldenpaso - My theory is that stripping my entries down to a handful is harmful [more I enter = greater chance my timing will be on] but I always check to see if the sponsor has a franchise in my area before entering to win their gc's JIC it's useless [to me :p ] prizes - UNLESS I know someone who does have them & the promo allows me to gift them my win.

I'm pretty fussy about what I enter for, because it seems silly to me to win a prize I don't want and can't use when someone else wants it. The year I started doing sweepstakes I won a lot but a lot of it was stuff that I couldn't figure out what to do with. I'm sure I didn't enter to win a circle k card, lol, it must have been a 2nd or 3rd place prize. And the concert just irritated me. They let me know I won a week before but didn't tell me which concert it would be until the night before. 2 days notice and I would have gone but it was impossible to get a sitter and a hotel and a friend to go with me on less than 12 hours notice.

Fiance and I had our best year yet. Won about 20k in prizes including a $6,000 VIP local baseball experience, and a $10k prize in the form of gift cards that my fiance won (of course I spend hours on my hobby and he texts a few times I tell him to and wins LOL).

Hoping for a great year this year, too, but can't complain. We get married this year so I'd still say it'll be better than last, even if we win nothing.

That's great! Nice!

As for me, 2016 was a total of $7300 but I'm pretty selective in my entries as I don't enter most trip sweeps since I don't want to pay the taxes on any trip over $2500 and I don't enter things that I don't want or can't sell. I know I could win a lot more if I spent a lot more time at it and entered a lot more as I only spend half an hour per day to enter but I say over 95% of sweeps I don't enter because it's either prizes I don't want or don't value enough to want to pay the taxes on.

Good year here. Haven't totaled it up yet, but about $13,000. Trip to Final Four in Houston (Coke Sweepstakes). Trip to Austin Food Fest (Lipton). Trip to a Christmas NBA game (I chose Cavaliers vs Golden State in Cleveland). Many small wins.

That's how it was back when my guys were sweeping [gave it up for gaming :p ] they'd enter a handful, sporadically while I was entering hundreds daily, and they'd often win more times than I would!

That set "timing IS everything" in stone for me!

CONGRATS on your forthcoming nuptials justiceserenity!
