Received an email today that I had "won" and just had to pay for shipping costs. That is called a sale not a prize. Classic scammers !
In 30 plus years of sweepstaking I have only paid for shipping once - A HUGE TV that I decided to have the freight company deliver to my home from their warehouse because my 12 year old son and I would never have gotten the unit into my mini van. (We thought we would - went to the warehouse, eyeballed it and asked how much - $1,200 tv entertainment center for $24.95 delivery was a great deal.

There are some sponsors who tell you in their rules the winner has to pay S&H jazzypdxtamz

Do you have the rules from the promo & was it listed here at SA?

I checked in the expired sweeps it didn't have it listed - searched the image in Google to see if value was substantial , wondering ifmaybe they'd have to insure it or something - they even use the same picture from Google in the promo 57cents on one site or .59cents on another, 2.99 on a third with free shipping. Absolutely NOT worth the $7.98 for shipping & handling

I should have said -yes it was on SA, the listing in expired doesn't show s&h charge. The FB page edited the post recently so not sure if it originally listed it. I emailed them verbiage from NJ law journal about charging for the prize basicly converts it to an illegal giveaway.

I'd won an iPhone on Twitter and got a DM saying I needed to pay 12 for shipping. Turns out they'd tell several people they won and collect money each round of the scam. They never give anyone the phone. Really glad I knew better from here.
