wow everyone i started sweeping last yr when i was pregnant with my son. i didnt do it all the time i just started sweeping reguarly once i won my first prize a 50.00 macys giftcard from the teleflora mothers day sweepstake. That gave me boost to keep doing it. I have this website i go on called babygaga its for woman with kids, pregnant woman, woman who want to concieve. I love this website but you have some ppl in there that are sooooo rude and they talk alot of crap over the internet. who cops an attitude with someone they will never meet? some are like they are pmsing all the time. im a mom of 2 its no excuse. i get along with most of them but i was trying to tell some about this website and omg some woman got sooo rude and bitchy. tellin me i was lying and ppl dont win stuff for free, and its all scams. this one lady said she worked for this corporation that detects illegal businesses and scams im like listen ive won things before. she told me once i get my check its gonna go through and be fake and ill owe money back. omg everyone those couple of ladies really pissed me off lol. i ahte being called a liar. they seriously made me feel like i was crazy or trying to set them up to sign up for something that wasnt real. hahahahahaha its over 10,000 woman on there. u know there are gonna be some whackos lol ive never been mad untill then thankgod one lady went to the website and saw i was telling the truth and she told them to shutup b/c they dont know what there talkin about. i mean they kept tellin me about scams im like duh a person who signs up for sweeps knows the diff between a real and fake and if you dont know ask. one person told me just b/c they send me an affadavid dosent make it legit. omg i signed up for the sweeps, got an afadavid, the place is a legitimate firm, there very popular. katz radio group is who called me and ive won stuff before lol i know whats real. i just wanted to vent about this. there basically saying all of us who sweep are crazy.im like once you all start sweeping and winning youll understand. of course you pay taxes on big prizes but you pay taxes on everything.

Why bother explaining it to them? I wouldn't care what they said....you don't even know them. You know what's true, so why worry about it?

Besides, if they don't believe, that's less competition we have to worry with! lol
 
we all went through it.... and at one point we all got tired of trying to convince... lol .... wishing u lots of luck carm
 
I think it is natural to want to share the info when you are happy about a win, but at the same time, I can understand that many uninitiated nonsweepers would have big doubts and big fears about identity theft and scams. Sorry that they expressed them to you in such a rude way, but just let it go.

Like everyone else said, just enjoy your hobby, keep entering and winning, and you don't owe anyone an explanation.

:sunny: So sorry to hear that you were met with such hostility when you were trying to turn them on to sweeping. I think we have all met up with the skeptics, especially when we first started out. It's their loss to not check it out for themselves.
 
Try to take it with a grain of salt and laugh it off. We will be the ones winning the prizes they don't believe in!!! I won $10,000 in January and haven't had to pay it back yet. LOL.

Just keep on smiling and entering sweepstakes! Good luck!

Like everyone said, just remember, the more they are skeptic and DON'T enter, the better odds are for you to win something.

I guess ALL those local radio and TV contests in their areas are fakes to.
 
Remember, he who laughs last, laughs best. Don't waste another moment on negative people. You will be smiling when you win a trip or a large cash prize. Keep on Sweeping and Best of Luck. You cannot win if you do not enter :wave:
 
That is a typical reaction for many, if it sounds good...must not be true. I have been sweeping for quite a few years and not sure what the total would be with cash, trips and stuff for free but is probably close to $10K if not more. Some are tshirts, body wash, money, trips and more. Yes the more they don't enter the better our chances are. GLA
 
This is so funny to me - people used to snicker at me for sweeping (they claimed you don't get something for nothing, but my time is worth something, eh?) Then, after I won that iPhone, $500 Home Depot card, video iPod and portable dvd player within just a few months' time, they all started asking me where to find the good sweepstakes and HOW DO YOU WIN ALL THAT STUFF? I tell everyone it's not so much luck as it is PERSISTENCE.

I just take it all with a grain of salt and a smile and point everyone to SA...if they think I'm odd, well. Maybe I am. Okay, I probably am but who really cares? :booty"
 
I even get it from family members, or they laugh that the prizes are junk (I won a large can of potato chips once and they were all stale).

So... I don't mention the Coke Sweepstakes cards, and the sprite cards, and the hershey sweepstakes bliss cards, and the A&W cards. And they wonder why when coming to my house for get togethers their soda choices are coke, root beer, and sprite. My mother also mentioned she liked the new rug I had...
 
Yeh, I tell my friends and family about sweeping and winning, but they all look at me as if I'm crazy. To bad, they don't get it. YOU snooze you looze !
