Rising costs

 I had a really bad day, but to top it off, I go to my daughters school today. Its a private school. Well last year, it was $65 a week. This summer it was $70 a week. And guess what, for this coming up school year it will be $80 a week. Ugh. What do they think we are made of money.
So I have to pay $120 in August, then $80 a week. So thats not even the biggest thing I am upset about. They will not have lunches for the 2-4 yearolds, but they will for kindergarden and up. So I have to pack a lunch every day.
Then they said no polo shirts, every shirt has to have the school logo on it. The shirts are $12. Plus a pe uniform. Ugh my mom just bought a bunch of polo shirts. So we are gonna have to take them back.
I am really upset about this. Seems to me this school is just looking to make money. I understand its a private school. But someone most be making a whole not of money. Theres probably 440 students at that school. So thats like $35,200 a week they get. Wheres all the money going. I am just real sad. I love the school, because they teach her, and are strict, so isnt any trouble. And it has christian teaching, because the school is a christian school.
But since kailey is 4, she can go in vpk for 3 hours which is free. Ugh I don't know. Sorry I just had to vent.

wow I can see why I was never put in private school, and that is a lot of money, then taking in what it costs to pay teachers, building, and all the rest of there bills  that still alot of money.

wow!! Maybe its time to look into a public school. Thats alot of money to spend each and every week. And they dont provide lunch. Thats crazy. If you are paying that kind of money the least they can do is feed your child.

I know in some areas like mine the public school systems are really bad and we have no choice but to put my daughter in catholic school. The teachers can barely speak good english. My daughter used to ask questions and the teacher would say "I'll get back to you on that" . They didn't even know some of the answers to problems from their own text books. :nono:

Gee, I never even thought about how much it cost my folks to send me to catholic school growing up. Luckily no transport costs as it was right across the street.

Money issues was a big reason we made the decision to home school. Every year private school here was going up higher and higher, not to mention every time you turned around they were wanting money for some reason or the other for expensive field trips! Plus both of mine at the time were very unhappy with private school and hated going there each day.

We refused to put them in public school here because the teachers are not qualified and so much violence even in the elementary schools and we live in a very rural area and small town.

I'm not going to tell you that home schooling was easy because it hasn't been easy but we made it work for us and this will be my daughters last year and her plans are to go to college. My son didn't go to college when he finished but he is doing great in life and has his own business.

Wow, that's a lot of money, and you pay for regular school taxes as well. Your kid had better be learning a lot. With the price rises, people are going to lose that old time religion real fast and go to the local grade school.
