Oh, but you know that eventually the Barbie with the yellow head will be worth the most money ~ yuck!

That is really sweet, Pam! I never had a Barbie, but have given them as gifts to my nieces. I still have my first Madame Alexander doll and it is really special to me. :)

I collected them from the time I was about 4 through 13 or 14 and then I got to old  I was one of these girl that took excellent care of their Barbies ~ I had every shoe ~ necklace, earring ~ EVERYTHING so they were in great condition! I had about 150 Barbies at one time ~ I still have their picture where I lined them up on Momma's couch

I dated a guy that his Mom would take dolls and redo dolls and sell them to make money for their family. The Dad had been hurt and they didn't have a lot of money ~ so I gave her all of my Barbies except for my Buffy doll and Mrs. Beasley doll. Needless to say she loved me greatly!! All she had to do was get them out and sell them :sunny:

I had one barbie as a child, and our two neighbor boys buried her somewhere in the garden. That's ok though I got them back by drowning their GI Joes. They're in the botton of a large ditch that was near our homes. Although it was wrong to do I did feel a lot better at the time. Boy, was I mad at them.

I would have done the same thing ~ boys have cooties anyway!!! :booty"

gnorman and ping, you are a riot! I wonder how many other people have hidden Barbie stories...Beyond Barbie, or Barbie Meets the Dark Side? I enjoyed your stories and the spirited little girls you were/are! :sunny: :sunny:

I grew up always having to fight with the boys. Other than my two sisters, who mostly stayed in the house, I was the only girl. Boy, You wouldn't believe some of the things we did. I guess I was a bit of a tom boy. But we did have fun, they were like brothers to me and we fought like brothers and sister.
