Question: Does SA use referral links to gain entries for sweepstakes?
Answer: SA has a strict policy to Not use Referral links for Entries. It does use tracking links to measure traffic for current and potential
advertising clients Only. This is solely done to measure advertising effectiveness and it is not for entries.

TY - added to my response:

SA is available for free *because* of sponsors.
Sponsors regularly utilize what I call "bounceback" links [codes used to track stats with Google Analytics] so they can track from where an entrant found their promo & are frequently bumped up to catch more views.
