redbook BIG win!

I come home today and check the mailbox, as usual, and lo and behold there is a box in there! Now, I send off for a lot of freebies and usually get 3-4 things a week....so i did'n't really get too excited about it. Might be just a cat food sample you know!

Well, I get settled down in my comfortable porch chair, pop open a cold brewski, and start to sort through the bills when I notice that the box has "priority mail" stickers all over it! OOOH, OOOOH! Must be something REALLY special!!! It is from Redbook, measures 6x6x12, and cost $5 to mail! Gotta be something COOL!! Right? This is the first unannounced win I've ever received! It has to be GREAT! :)

Dash into the house ... grab a knife ... slit the son-of-a-gun open with one deft movement ... scatter a cubic foot of styro-peanuts all over the porch ... and ... and ... it must be Keys to a Jaguar....

... I pull out a note and a tube of foot cream!

Oh well, maybe I can use it if my feet get chapped from too much salt water while snorkeling in Australia!

:crazytongue: :crazytongue: :crazytongue: :crazytongue:

(at least I didn't win the lipstick! :headbang: )

It's a dirty job ... but I gotta do it!

Congrates on the win. . . I find it amusing that the ARV is $4.99 and it cost $5 to send it, something entirely wrong with that!

Happy Sweeping All and Thank You SA for All You Do!

Funny! Kind reminds me of someone who posted they got a registered letter from Disney. Had to wait and then go to the P.O. and they were all excited. When they got the package, it was pair of mouse ears. LOL! Congrats anyhow on the win. You mentioned Australia. Did u win a trip?

LOL -- Oh, well, at least it was something!

I share your disappointment, though. It reminds me of the day I had to drive to FedEx because I had a package that needed to be signed for personally, my landlord couldn't do it. I was sure it was something great. But after showing two forms of ID, signing for the package and opening it, I'd won a jigsaw puzzle. :crazytongue: Kinda makes you wonder, huh?

Enjoy your foot cream!
