Oh PLEASE let this be permanent!!!The captchas from the ReCaptcha company that I have entered today have all
been short, easy to read and so far ALL of them have been exactly 5 characters. The other interesting change is
in the validation: in the past when they would have 2 words or phrases one of them was always italicized, and if the
first word/phrase was italicized all they forced you to enter was the first word/phrase except for the last character - you
didn't have to enter the second word/phrase at all. Now, you have to enter all of the characters.

Are you guys and gals seeing this too? Just wondering

There have been news articles lately about Google, the Captcha system owner, changing to a single question - - Are you a robot? It's supposed to be as effective as the old Recaptcha system.

Thanks, curmudgeon, I've seen that question elsewhere a few times and it asks you to grab moving images and put them somewhere to prove you are not a robot. I'd say about 95% of the ReCaptcha challenge words today has been as I described in my first note. I far prefer to enter 5 characters that are easy to read with messing having to grab images - lol - but then I'm lazy. ;-)

If the captcha is a word/words I have no problem - it's when they put an R next to a 9 that messes me up!

That said, easy 5 characters or a string of numbers works BEST!!!
