Rantings of a homophobe....

The following post appeared in a thread at another website I belong to (www.debatepolitics.com). I've been busy stomping verbal mud puddles in this guy. In one of his later posts, he claims he does not hate gays. Unfortunately, his own words give him away. It is a shame there are people who think like him in this world today. Perhaps in a couple of generations there will be no more of his type.

You're gay. Congratulations. Do you want a fucking award now? We accept that you are attracted to the same sex. We don't necessarily understand it, we don't necessarily know how this came to be, but accept you for who you are and have given up on the idea of talking you out of it. Be gay. Have a ball.

If you screw 10 people a weekend and get AIDS, we are not sympathetic. You knew the consequences, took those chances, and got the penalty. Wear a fucking condom you morons!

We can't stand your fucking parades, your gay pride, your loud ass whining for more rights. You are not a fucking new minority. You are people who are perverted and are usually beset with a bunch of other mental and emotional problems as well. Quit acting like you are now a seperate entity who deserve civil rights protections.

We don't need gay marriage because that isn't what fucking marriage is for! Look up the fucking word in the dictionary! Have your ceremony, get "married", and pretend it's all legal. We don't want it in our law books, it's a perversion of marriage! You can have your civil unions, but please get them for the purpose of a monogomous, respectful relationship, not for a tax break.

You excel in the arts and we appreciate them without judgement on your sexual preferences. We are not trying to ostracize you from society. We just don't want your homosexual b.s. thrown in our face and we want our children to be raised with family values, not gay values. We recognize that it's real men who protect our country from harm's way, and gays are usually the ones bitching that we even have a military.

Do what you do best, be musicians, actors, writers and other artists, and leave the business of defending America to the real men of society. This don't ask, don't tell b.s. is offensive to both of us. Just stay the fuck out of the military unless you are ready to man up and knock off the perversions.

We are sincere in our interest in getting along. What you do in the privacy of your own bedroom is your business. We may consider homosexuality, felching and rampant promiscuity to violate our basic principles of acceptable, proper conduct, but we'll respect your right to privacy. Just keep it out of our fucking face, please.

OMG.....what a loser! Who the hell does he think he is? Whoever, I'm sure it's republican! I am so sorry that this kind of rant is allowed. I really don't understand the "dancing" thing? Can you elucidate? I really, really hope he gets banned from spewing his venom at that site!! Do we all need to get together and "gang up" on him? Or her. I guess it could be a her. I know he has the freedom of speech but so do we!! Would it help to post our own opinions in answer to his? I would be happy to rally behind you (oh God, that came out wrong!) and give the gay community moral, that's right..I said moral, support.

hmmm I think that was wrong of him to post. That is just downright mean. He seems to have the "sterotypical" gay man in his thoughts as he posted that. I have met many gay people that are very nice, and are totally opposite of that.
And there are many straight men that "mess with" 10 or so girls and get aids. As we learned in health class. Aids is not just a "gay" disease.
Some people can just be stupid. I don't necessiarly agree with being gay. But I am nice to gay people. And I don't broadcast what I think about it. I think he is just trying to get attention, and maybe cover up something.... maybe his deep down thoughts, that he is gay.

So does that mean that all Republicans are gay-bashers or what? Just curious. Not starting a fight but hey guys---------The entire reason that our brave men and women are fighting a war right this very minute is so assh*&^@#$*&s like this can spew whatever trash they want. One of the prices of living in a free country is that we have to listen to idots sometimes. And BTW, what a great web site that is, I'm going back to check it out right not.

Um...did this ugly diatribe really need to be RE-POSTED here??? Good intentions and all, I'm sure, but spreading the hate further doesn't help. The OP is clearly a non-educable bigot, so the best thing to do is ignore the rant rather than giving it more time and airing.

Just a heads up for you guys. This is a great website. Thanks to whoever started the original post. I can tell already that I will be spending lots of time reading all the posts over there.

No offense to Republicans. I do not wanna be like that guy. I just meant from what I know regarding politics (which ain't much), Republicans are primarily opposed to gay marriage and gay couple benefits. So, so sorry if I offended! Still, Sticks, let me know if I can help.

Leisa: You in did not offend - just wanted to make sure we were all on the same page ! I get so much out of your jokes each day that I just know you are a cool person. Anywhoooo, it is funny how true it is the "the squeaky wheel gets the oil" It's the crazy people allllllllllllllllllll the way to each extreme that we have to hear about. The normal people like me that are pretty much in the middle just take it all in. I have to say again - that website is great. I can tell right now that I just can not join - I would open my mouth to much and get flamed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Thanks leisa for the offer of support. Yes, the Debate Politics site is awesome, in that every conceivable topic of discussion is covered here. Most of the site, nobody is allowed to flame others. However, there is a Basement...with varying levels of depravity, whereby anyone can post anything about anyone else, and be as offensive as they want...but only in The Basement.

Most of the members at this site are liberal to moderate. But the conservatives are vocal. The gay thread began in the "upstairs" part of the forum, but as the homophobes launched their hateful comments, the MODS placed the thread in the Basement...lol.

 I'm republican  but I'm not offended. your jokes.

What an ignorant, hateful man. *Shakes head*

I am not a republican but, I do feel that stereotyping the way someone speaks is wrong. You cannot put someone into one catagory, I see people in all variations of politics that act the same way. I do not belong to any affiliation, the same with religion.

Excuse the spelling, my mind is not all there right now, lol.

Wow, that guy really hates Hanna Barbera characters....

Hello, this is just your friendly, non-threatening basement "smurfophobe" here, and would like to give you Smurfs my take on this.

You're a Smurf. Congratulations. Do you want a dancing award now? We accept that you are blue and wear funny hats. We don't necessarily understand it, we don't necessarily know how this came to be, but accept you for who you are and have given up on the idea of talking you out of it. Be a Smurf. Have a ball.

If you eat too many Smurfberries and get a stomachache, we are not sympathetic. You knew the consequences, took those chances, and got the penalty. Stop when you are full you morons!

We can't stand your dancing parades, your Smurf pride, your loud Smurf whining for more rights. You are not a dancing new minority. You are people who are short and blue and are usually beset with a bunch of other mental and emotional problems as well. Quit acting like you are now a seperate entity who deserve civil rights protections.

We don't need Smurf marriage because that isn't what dancing marriage is for! Look up the dancing word in the dictionary! There is only one Smurfette there. Have your ceremony, get "married", and pretend it's all legal. We don't want it in our law books, it's a perversion of marriage! You can have your civil unions, but please get them for the purpose of a monogomous, respectful relationship, not for a tax break.

You excel in the arts and we appreciate them without judgement on your small blue selves. We are not trying to ostracize you from society. We just don't want your Smurf b.s. thrown in our face and we want our children to be raised with family values, not Smurf values. We recognize that it's real men who protect our country from Gargamel and Azrael, and Smurfs are usually the ones bitching that we even have a military.

Do what you do best, be musicians, actors, writers and other artists, and leave the business of defending the woods to the real men of society. This don't ask, don't Smurf b.s. is offensive to both of us. Just stay the greet out of the military unless you are ready to man up and knock off the Smurf talk.

We are sincere in our interest in getting along. What you do in the privacy of your own mushrooms is your business. We may consider Smurfs, Smurfs and rampant Smurfs to violate our basic principles of acceptable, proper conduct, but we'll respect your right to privacy. Just keep it out of our dancing face, please.

Hi, Mod in the room!

We're all sweepers here, political affiliations aside.

There are stupid, opinionated people in both parties and some of the dumbest are the loudest. We need to be aware of them, but please, don't help them out by repeating their nonsense.

I agree GSW, I know homophobes in both parties.

You know, I think the problem here is that people feel the need to label. Once a person has a label, many people don't take the time to see beyond the label.

I am from MA. I am proud to be from the first state to recognize same sex marriage. One of my best friends had wanted to marry his partner for years and that dream became a reality.

You know, my friends have taken me to gay bars, invited me to all their parties and shown me a culture I did not know. But, in the end, they were my friends, this was their lives and I wanted to be a part of their lives. At first, there were times I was uncomfortable, but it was my ignorance and prejudice. Fortunately, I had great friends that loved me and it I realized it didn't matter and that I needed to get over myself in order to be their true friend. I figured out that there were more times they were uncomfortable that I was. They dealt with homophobes all the time. In work and social situations, they were forced to hide who they were. In some cases they hid who they were from their families. Being their friend was easy. Well, almost easy. I have to say, sitting at our weekly dinners with 10 of the most gorgeous men I knew and not having a chance was frustrating, but they did have cute relatives.

I guess my long winded point is that we all have prejudice within us. If you want to, you can open your mind. Who knows what benefits you will find. I know I have a second family that would be at my side in minutes if I needed anything. I know they are just people like me. No labels. Just family that I enjoy getting together with. They are the best and I am lucky.

Just see beyond the label and you may be surprised.

Sticks, that man needs to take a hard look in the mirror and realize that his lot in life is his doing not the homosexual population of the US. He needs to take his anger and use that energy to look at what is going on in the world and fight to make it better.
