I got a call this morning that I won a 500.00 grocery voucher but they want me to gove 4.95 shipping fee with a credit card over the phone. I believe this is a scam, can anyone tell me if they had the same thing happen to them or know about a company called central rewards that does this?
 
Most likely if they ask for a credit card number for any reason it is a scam. I've never had this happen but I've never paid shipping on anything I've ever won.
 
I thought so and I wound up hanging up on her because I thought it was as well.......too bad got so excited at first but oh well......thank you for your reply
 
I have won over $23,000 in cash and prizes. I have had freezers, Giant screen t.v.s and all types of checks and gift cards delivered! Never, ever have paid any shipping. It does not cost anything when you when! Run!
 
My friend got a call saying she won $500 walmart gift card from taking a customer survey from them a few weeks ago. She was super excited, but once they mentioned the shipping fee- it sounded fishy to me. I looked up the company name and phone number and there were so so so so many complaints about scams. And she wouldnt tell us what her name or managers name or number is. My friend eventually just hung up.

Its so mean they do that! lol
 
I know the company was central rewards and I appreciate all the replies to my post. It sounds similar to what they said to me I won a walmart 500.00 grocery card but had to furnish my 4.95 shipping fee.....hanging up was very easy but very dissapointing thanks again for all the replies to my question
