Question About "Employee" with Sponsor

My son has a summer job with a company currently holding a sweepstakes. By the time it ends and the prize is awarded, he will be back in college and not working there anymore. Does that mean I can or can't enter?

Thanks!

Re: Question About "Employee" with Sponsor

that would depend on the sponsor set rules, they are not always the same in all sweeps.

Re: Question About "Employee" with Sponsor

I steer clear of sweeps when I'm uncertain. When I had just graduated from college I lived with my sister and her husband for awhile. They both work for major corporations (one of which runs a lot of sweeps) and I stopped entering those sweeps. There is no sense wasting your time on something you aren't allowed to win. There's plenty of other sweeps out there!

Re: Question About "Employee" with Sponsor

If your son is not employed by them anymore, family can enter.

However, if you enter NOW for any sweep he is employed by and they find out you win, they can and will go after you legally and can also demand legal fees.

He works for them now, so until he quits, you can not legally enter, even if he quits later.

Re: Question About "Employee" with Sponsor

Read the rules as some companies even put a time limit. It might say anyone who is affiliated to the company during the contest to a date such as when the prizes are handed out. Prizes are not worth so much as to face anxiety, fear, worry, lawsuits, loss of job, blackballing from that company, banning by eprize and other companies from entering any more sweeps, and other problems.
