please don't give them personal information. there is no such thing as a global lottery. I get calls all the time from other countries telling me I won the PCH global lottery sweepstakes.

georgejos1 - sweepsadv [site owner & admin] has already told you not to post these questionable emails in the winner's circle ;

Please don't post these in the winner's circle. We have a reported scams forum and general talk. Thank you

EXACTLY - the tip off is almost always in the email address or the title/body of the email

Utter scam. For smaller sweepstakes, such as below $10,000 or so, they will contact you by e-mail - I know, having won a couple of times from them before. However, the e-mail will be labeled as clearly having come from Publisher's Clearing House and certainly will not ask you to send a response to an e-mail with an outside domain. But for $850,000? Total, 100% B.S., no question whatsoever. It's right here in their FAQs page / fraud protection page:

"Publishers Clearing House (PCH) does NOT send e-mails notifying consumers that they have won a major prize. If you win a major prize in our sweepstakes, the PCH Prize Patrol will contact you in person. For smaller prizes (usually less than $10,000.00), winners are notified by overnight delivery services (FedEx, UPS), certified mail, or email in the case on online giveaways."

Emphasis added. But if you still have questions, yeah, you can call that number that traveldreamer posted.
