Are they Legit? Do people REALLY win and they are announced on TV? I enter there sweeps when they email me. But for some reason I have this doubt........

I focus on entering for prizes I or my family would like, or I can gift to family/friends, so I tend to ignore odds when I sweep - it helps I stink at math

As to your question on if they are legit champagne ? After their false advertising fiasco (where some people were convinced they had won, missing the fine print) I'm sure they are watched closely now - this is from 2000:

SPITZER ANNOUNCES LANDMARK SETTLEMENT WITH PUBLISHERS CLEARING HOUSE

As long as you do the no purchase entry, and follow the rules, you have a chance, and like GSW says, someone will win, and it could be you!!! :)

keep in mind that publishers get millions of entries that come in!

So Lee, are you saying we have better odds trying to win the Lottery?
this is probably one of the most popular sweeps I myself enter probably 600 times a year and that is just me :laughing:they offer different opportunities through out there promotion, but someone will win :sunny:

Whoa...... I didn't think of it that way.... WTF.... I think today is my last day entering....

I used to play all of the games etc... Took all day... Then I cut back to sweeps only... Don't think they let you win unless you drink the coolaid... They are relentlessly trying to rope me in to games... Has anyone here ever won more than 20 bucks there?

PCH odds are determined by the number of entrants and the odds vary with each sweep. Generally speaking, the larger prizes have higher odds - PCH Win It All Sweepstakes - - - - $1,000,000.00 Lump-Sum - - - - - https://spectrum.pch.com/Path/MayTV...ON&s1=59078&s2=59461&fs=Sweepstakes+Advantage -- - - - - - 1 in 6,200,000,000 - - - 1 in 6.2 Billion

PCH Secret Cash Stash Sweepstakes- - - - - - prize of $20,000.00 - - - - https://spectrum.pch.com/Path/CashStash20K/FullReg.aspx? - - - - - - 1 in 778,000,000 - - - 1 in 778 Million

Read the rules for the above sweeps to confirm the odds; that's where I got them.

I don't know of a Lottery that has odds any where near 1 in 6.2 Billion or 1 in 778 Million. If you search online you get various answers, here's one from CBS News - - -https://www.cbsnews.com/news/powerball-mega-millions-lottery-odds-of-winning/ - - - -
"The odds of winning one of the jackpots is roughly one in 259 million for Mega Millions and one in 292 million for Powerball. And the chances of winning both, for those of you thinking really big? Roughly one in 75 quadrillion -- that's 15 zeros -- according to data scientists at Allstate."
