Please pass the word to anyone who was scammed by Prizeamigo, Prizepeople, - the sites have expired 10/9/12 :cussing:according to GoDaddy.com and anyone who paid for the robot entry service can contact the company at the following:

Envision Media Group LLC
705 Lakeview Plaza Blvd
Columbus, OH,
43085-4779
614-847-0424

They handled the credit card transactions for the robot entry site. I don't know if anything can be done but I'm angry I was scammed and want others to not fall for the same.

Is there an article about this somewhere for us the read the whole story?

WinForMe.com is not in any way affiliated with Prizeamigo or Prizepeople. We are still in business, our site has not expired, and we have never scammed anyone out of anything (in fact, we usually go far beyond what we promise in our terms and conditions for all of our members).

Although our business name is Envision Media, LLC, we are also not affiliated with the Envision Media Group in Columbus, Ohio. A Google search for the Envision Media Group seems to imply that it's an ad agency.

The actual WhoIs data for PrizePeople can be found here: http://www.networksolutions.com/whois-search/prizepeople.com It looks like it was registered by a company in London.

Our hearts go out to anyone who lost money when Prizeamigo and Prizepeople unexpectedly closed shop, but unfortunately we cannot help you get your money back since we have no relationship with those companies at all. We would very much appreciate your removing WinForMe from your list of sites affected by the closure, since it is inaccurate. Thank you!

I guess situations like this are why I do all my sweeps entries myself, besides, a lot of sweeps DQ you if you use a service to enter for you. Sorry for those that lost money on this deal, especially since money is so hard to come by these days. People that steal like that should be ashamed of themselves.

Nationwide, there are tens of thousands of businesses that fail each year. Some just go out of business while others file for Bankruptcy. Restaurants and Gyms are two types of high failure ratio ventures that come to mind, although no business is immune from failure. The causes are many, but the usual reason is that the business didn't generate enough profit to pay expenses and earn enough to pay the owner(s) a salary.

There are some types of business that ask for a prepaid membership fee in exchange for providing a product or service. By paying this membership fee, you are accepting the risk that the business might fail and you could loose all or a part of your membership fee. Or, that you might not receive the product or service for the agreed upon time frame.

If it was the intention of the owner(s) to create a viable business, then this does not constitute fraud, nor is it a "scam". Bad timing, poor business decisions and a host of other reasons can cause a business to fail. Unfortunately, if you prepaid, then you've just lost your "investment".

Personally, I've never used one of the "automated sweepstakes entry services". I like to examine each sweep before I enter. I don't want a third party making decisions for me about the entry page, rules and privacy policy. I'd rather do my own "smell test".

Just saw this thread. It's my understand 'winprizesonline.com' is/was associated with prizeamigo.com/prizepeople.com/etc.

You can probably contact someone there. That site still seems to be operational.
