Precision Kitchenware mistake email

I received an email this afternoon, after reading it, I went to Amazon and cancelled by order. I felt really bad that this happen to them, because I also won the peeler and brush in previous weeks.

It's Joe from Precision Kitchenware here. I just wanted to send an email to let you know of a very terrible mistake we just made.

We chose the 50 winners from our newsletter list last night. Due to a human error we sent it to our entire list rather than just the 50 winners we chose.

Unfortunately you were not one of those winners and we have had to pull the code. As a gesture of goodwill everyone who has already ordered (nearly 200 of you) we will honour the prizes but unfortunately the code will no longer work. We are a young brand and cashflow is very tight, this would have been disastrous for us had we not caught it in time and could of potentially made us bankrupt.

Please accept my sincerest apologies, this is a mistake that is going to cost us a lot of money unfortunately :-(. We will work very hard to make sure a mistake like this doesn't happen again as we strive to provide the very highest quality kitchen accessories.

I think you did the right thing because while we get all the great benefits of the sweepstakes, the companies are trying to make money, not go bankrupt. That does stink, though! I think you will win something huge now for being a nice person!!!
 
I also went in and cancelled at Amazon. Took about 3 hrs to finally get the email back from Amazon that the order was cancelled. So maybe they are having lots to cancel.

Know I feel like I win plenty contests, without a mistake hurting a small company.
 
I got the winner letter and also the mistake email, but had not ordered yet. I have not won anything from them, but would have cancelled the order also. What an awesome company and wish them the best.
 
A lot of people who enter work all day, and they don't get their messages until late. I am sorry for them because some of the true winners codes won't work. Bummer all the way around. I hope the company can make it right for the true winners.
 
i went and cancelled mine too.hopefully in time.i didnt find the email until i had already ordered.i've won these from them before and the peeler.they're a small business and i dont want to add to the problem.mistakes happen.
 
Happend even at sears not too long ago, everyone got a winning email, yet no follow up! I think you did the right thing all of you!
