Passing up a prize!!!

Received notification of a vacation sweeps win and hate to fly so they said that they would do gas so I can drive. Only problem is that it is 1200 miles and about at the same time for school to start so it will be time for school clothes! Just got back to work from 6 weeks off for shoulder surgery so it makes things tight.
Tried to get my husband to go and take the oldest son but then the youngest son would be left out. He just took my daughter to New York on another trip win so I guess we are going to have to pass it up. What a bummer! I hate having to pass up a prize! Was actually entering and hoping to win the 100 dollar Best Buy card and got the trip!
Here is trip information. They said that they would make another selection by June 12. Have to call them back in the morning.

Only thing about trips that kinda suck is that for the most part they are not transferable. Did you ask if they would just give you cash instead of the trip?
 
They won't know what the cost of the prize is until they actual book everything. Of our seven or eight trips we've won, they all came in under half of the stated ARV. On only two of them, we had to request they readjust the value on the 1099; because they used the ARV instead of the actual costs. Were there other prizes in this sweepstakes as to why you entered it? :scratch:

The only thing I hate about flying is dragging carseats, stroller, and bags through the airport. Other than that, we love to fly. It's awesome! :headbang:

Don't hold your breath hoping to get money out of those folk ... it NEVER happens unless it says so in the rules. It amazes me that people advise others to try it.

So either take the trip or pass it on! The one I just won had obvously been turned down by at least 2 other folks due to the gap between the actual drawing date and the date they contacted me. They usually allow about 20 days between shots

Maybe if you pass they will call me! So obviously, I am hoping you will refuse it!!!! :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:
 
:sunny: If there isn't a cash option for the trip maybe they will at least give you one of the $100 Best Buy cards that you were trying for. Congratulations on getting the win!
