our ac died - again

ac still not working!
I suggested it was the compressor from the jump but all that was done is to charge & then over-charge w/refrigerant so far
Day 3 & ac guy has to check w/realty company for particulars [if this ac is still under warranty] since they did NOT go thru him for the install & now also he believes it is the compressor

ah jeez - turns out a diff co {J&J} installed the [used?] ac 2 yrs ago & have 2 deal w/him to get it fixed - took me 3 calls to ATLAS [mgmt. co] to get Andrew & to find out who to contact - just spoke to J7J & *maybe* tonite but probably not until tomorrow

oh great - it's the condenser coil & the only place that carries them is out so no clue when it gets replaced!
J&J shut it off from up top so we can't even run air to keep from suffocating & w/110+ leaving windows/doors open is NOT an option, so if I disappear it was heatstroke

day 6 - no return calls from ATLAS
called J&J at 1pm - was told he'd be here in afternoon to "try" to jerry rig a temporary fix - something about copper & aluminum so I think he means brazing/welding but these 2 metals become *highly* corrosive when bonded together so not sure.
4pm called ATLAS & spoke to operator - was told it would take 4 days after part [compressor coil] is ordered to get it. NO clue if it was ordered 2 days ago or not & Monday is Labor Day so we're looking at another week of hell!!!

2pm called atlas - J&J brazed/soldered the condenser coil & charged w/Freon around 7pm last night & again it got down to 80 - but no lower

Anyway - just please order the part & leave our ac alone until it arrives & Andrew agreed, YAY!
Since this is Friday, & Monday is a holiday - Labor Day - I figure next Friday soonest.
