One entry per household question

This may have been covered here before but I cannot find it if so. When a sweeps says one entry per household do they look at physical address or ip address. I am asking because my sister and a friend visit me regularly and we "enter sweeps together" on our own laptops. It is just a way we visit and enjoy our hobby. If we enter one per household will we be disqualified since we are using the same router? I am not really computer savvy so I do not know how all this works. Thanks for any help!
 
They could check it either way. Also they could check it by landline phone number. I don't believe your IP address changes if you access the internet via another persons wifi, any more than it would if you use an internet connection at Starbucks.
