OMG my first trip win but I have to decline!

wow I just posted last week about a win (Starbucks Share the Cheer giftcard) and I just rec'd notification that I won tickets to the 2018 Superbowl but sadly I have to decline so stand by folks...some lucky runner up will be getting a text-
 
You may have to decline, but you WON. lol I've declined several over the years, so don't feel bad. There's always another trip around the corner. Big congrats on your first trip win. I'm sure it's just the first of many to come.
 
A text? Is this how you were notified other than by email? I don't have text on my home phone. I hope they email if they pick another winner! Too bad you could not go and had to decline. It was not transferrable?
 
+traveldreamer, it was a text entry sweeps- they sent me a text asking me to respond to an email address that was provided (in the text) which I did...then there was email communication from that point on

I'll mention which sweeps it was as soon as I hear back that my email (declining prize) was received
 
I had to turn down a trip as well. But it was fun to win and I hope the next person picked enjoyed the trip ! (it was a SA subscriber as well !)
 
Sorry to hear you had to decline your Super Bowl Sweepstakes Win! There are actually many Super Bowl sweepstakes running, including quite a few locals. Upgrade to Plus for the full list.

You're still a WINNER, so CONGRATS! If you sweep long enough, you're bound to win a prize you have to decline for one reason or another. Just think of the wonderful blessing you sent to someone else by declining though.....that's a ripple that will find it's way back to you.
 
Congrats and sorry that you couldn't go. It does help keep you optimistic looking ahead though! I won a trip to the Super Bowl back in 2013, from Snapware and Emiril, but had to decline. I did make sure with the fulfillment representative that the prize would go to an alternate. Otherwise I just might have had to cancel my other plans and go anyway! Always hate to see a prize go to waste. I wondered if the alternate winner ever knew how fortunate he was :P
 
jpsweeps - I don't travel, so if a promo has a trip for the GP I always search for LIEU [JIC they give cash in lieu] & for SECOND CHANCE/ALTERNATE/RE-AWARD/etc when I'm going for the lower tier prizes JIC I *accidently* win the GP :p
