Odd Entry and New Purchase Ticket or Donation Type Sweepstakes

[sweepsadv]

I had a member ask about creating a new category for the types of sweepstakes that combine ticket purchase or donating combined with free amoe sweepstakes postal mailed entries. Here is my reply.

===========================

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. We appreciate all feedback. There is an increase in these. All of these types that either ask for a donation or purchase tickets are in the ODD Entry category. The reality is probably 99% of odd entry is this type of sweepstakes. We would not list these types of sweepstakes at all except for the fact that they all allow a postal mailed alternative free entry. There is a group of our members who actually do enter these. A few of them have actually won a big prize from these types.

So if you are not interested in these I would avoid the odd entry category all together.

I hope that makes sense and Good Luck in All Things.

Thanks for your insight to the " odd " category. Good Luck, to those who do mail-ins to any sweepstakes. Between stamp price and following some unusual mailing rules, I will take a pass. Would be interesting to hear from sweepers who have won this way. Was the prize worth the time, cost, effort ?
