I have to say that I've never thought about it much, and assumed most contests have A LOT.
Yesterday I had one of those rare phone call wins, and the woman mentioned that they had "over 11,000" entries. She seemed surprised by the number because she repeated it later. It was a one entry contest with 3 winners. Is that a lot? Or about right?
"Luck" is funny. I remember being at Tupperware-type parties with only 6 people, 5 door prizes, and going home empty-handed!
And if you were wondering, I won a bunch of toys (about $350). And the rep was sweet - letting me pick out doll hair color and ethnicity.
