What is the average time of a sweepstakes closing and notification to the winner....Are they all different?

Sometimes, there's no notification. Just a prize that arrives weeks or months later. I've scratched my head many times trying to remember what sweep a prize came from. Sometimes, but not always, there's a wining notice included with the prize.

The only "norm" I've observed is that *most* IW's send prizes 8 - 10 weeks after the end date of the promo.
Magazine sweeps seem to have slow fulfillment - I say seem, because it's what I've seen from what others have posted, I have yet to win from one :crazytongue:
Rule of thumb? Check the rules. Most of the time they will tell you a time range on when they will notify winners. :wave:

:scratch: Notifications in sweeping is definitely not an exact science. Some notify the same day, 8 to 10 weeks after closing, months after the end date and some never notify and the prize just shows up. As we say in sweeping, Enter and forget it! I like to think, "Keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed but could be pleasantly surprised!".
