"nice" and "I work with idiots" emails?

I don't know if this is anything to worry about or not. Earlier today I got two notes with these titles in my regular email. What got my attention right away is that they were sent from the director of my church's kids program and the titles were weird. Both crashed the page I was on and sent up warning flares. I couldn't read either note. Now, when I reply or compose a note, it adds "Troy Ball" at the bottom sort of like a signature. I can erase it, but I wonder if my computer has picked up anything dangerous. I tried googling the term but didn't find anything usefull.

Any insights?

I tried various searches and couldn't find anything either, but it sounds like the director of your church's kids programs' email is infected with a bot and you are in his/her address book.

Do you use a prog to scan your emails? I use AVG Free.

To follow up, yes, we did pick up some sort of bug with those emails. I talked with the director, Brenda, after I posted this. She said that she picked up this problem about two weeks ago and didn't actively send the emails. We both discovered that with the bug, you cannot send notes or reply to emails. Hopefully that's the extent of its damage. The husband is currently in the process of running various scans and programs to get rid of any invaders that have snuck on to our computer.
