Ok i am pretty new at this. I started sweeping on July 15th. I have had quite a few instant wins but i am just curious how long it actually takes to start seeing things in the mail. i know there are a lot of pros out there and i'm sure that there are a lot of full time sweepers. i would be really greatful if some of you could share some of your stories about when you started sweeping, how successful you have been and maybe even what motivated you to keep sweeping. i am not discouraged but i really need some inspiration. sweeping is a lonely sport...lol. i love it but being so new, i don't really understand the tricks of the trade. thx so much. oh i also would like to make some new facebook friends that enjoy sweepstakes. i share lots of sweeps on my page and help others who enter facebook contests ect. please look me up as Shelly Riff . thx so much e1

I've been sweeping for about 2 1/2 years and honestly have not won that much. My biggest win was a $250 gc to Victoria's Secret in December of 09. It's not so much what I have won that keeps me doing it, but the thoughts of what I could win. I feel like it's only a matter of time before I'm bound to win something big, just by virtue of entering so many. Like the old saying goes, somebody has to win, why not me?

First off, Welcome to SA. I started sweeping July '09 and LOVE IT! My experience with receiving wins goes anywhere from 4 days for jellybeans to 16 weeks for video games and everything in between. Its really gonna depend on sponsors and suppliers. Last year I won a Wii and 3 games on a instant win and the Wii came from Oregon in 6 weeks. The games came from Arizona 10 weeks later than the Wii I won them with. I also won a knife from the Outdoor Channel in a drawing and the knife came by mail 2 weeks later. This was my first "surprise win", no notice that I had won until it showed up. (the rules did say "winners will be notified by mail") The rules will usually give you an idea of when to expect your prize and a lot of times they are pretty close to it. Back in May I won a diamond necklace on a instant win and hoped it might be here in time for my anniversary in July, but contact with the sweeps administrator assured me that "all prizes will be awarded by Oct 31" per the rules. So much for that! I win SOMETHING every week, but dont get a prize delivered every week, but might get 2 or 3 in 1 day. I've won a lot over the past year, but hear others say they havent won in 2 or3 months. Experiences vary. Look at new sweeps everyday and expiring soon sweeps as you can. I only deal with 150 to 200 sweeps a day and others here deal with 1000+. Read the posts here and you'll get an idea of how prompt some sweeps administrators are about mailing prizes. Hope this helps you a little. Again welcome to SA, you did yourself a favor coming here. Good Luck!

It took me 6 months before I saw anything...then wins started coming in after a year of sweeping. Now, it's on and off. Aug has been a dry spell for me
Some wins, you'll be notified by e-mail..and some come as a suprise in your mailbox or at your doorstep.
Wish you lots of wins soon!! oh and WELCOME to SA!!

 I have been sweeping for at least 12 years. I started out slow and worked my way up as I got more interested in winnning. Of course having wins come in helped to motivate me. I have won just about everything you can think of except for a car. I don't think I have ever gone more than a couple of days without some kind of win. The key is to be persistant, consistant, patient and positive. The wins will start coming in. Not everyone is cut out to be a sweeper. Alot of people like the idea of winning prizes but when you tell them that they have to work at it, they give up. You can't win if you don't enter! Best of luck to you. Hope to see you posting a big win soon!

Welcome!! Wins can take anywhere from a few days to 6-9 months. I have won from Womans Day(quick) and Life and style. Coke Sweepstakes has been very, very good to me. I cannot complain about wins, ranging from makeup and hair care to X-Boxes and rugs. No HOF wins yet, but I am very pleased with anything I win. My advice is to keep entering diligently and YOU WILL WIN! Patience is a necessity. As so many have said before-Enter it and forget it. The surprise wins are the best. I LOVE when UPS or Fed Ex just stops with a win I knew nothing about. Your turn will come. Enjoy!!
