A Newbie here trying to win a local singing contest. Is this website a good place to get votes? If not, do you guys have any suggestions?

Also - is the local singing contest open to votes outside your area? If not, we couldn't vote for you, since we're {probably} not in your area.

Vote type sweeps are rather cut-throat too, so be prepared - it's not always the best that wins, it's usually the savviest one at networking/getting sympathy votes.

The vote is open to anyone in the world. It's a small-town singing competition (in a bar), so the voting shouldn't be too cut-throat.
