Well my laptop became slower and slower and was making a grinding sound (probably hard drive) well one of my nephews got tired of me complaining so he bought me a desktop (with Windows 11).
I researched till I found the functions wanted/needed.
Well it's as slow as the laptop with a couple of other problems.
Email tab does not stay open, when I go back to it it reloads.
I constantly get message that a site took too long to open
Websites are taking minutes rather than seconds to open (never get a message that it took too long) Makes entering sweeps frustrating.
Tried everything I could think of to troubleshot laptop. Cleared history and cookies, did disk cleanup etc.
Have done the same for desktop. For a while I was rebooting modem and it would work for a while.
I called ATT and they checked from their end and finally sent a technician. He stated that I was using the wrong DSL filter/plug, I have uverse which is supposed to be midrange but the desking top did not have ethernet cable and I was able to connect to wireless
I no longer have a go to person and I'm not that computer savvy, my expertise is in a different field.
So thoughts on "is there anything else I can try"?
Or should I call ATT and have them check speed.?
All Suggestions appreciated as this is becoming stressful.
